In India, the bulk of cultivators are tiny farmers having land holding of two hectares and marginal farmers having land holding of one square measure. As unconcealed by agricultural census data, land holdings of but two hectares deep-rooted 41.14 % of the full land in 2005-06. Moreover, the share of cultivators holding land of two hectares among the full cultivators in Asian country was 83.29 % in 2005-06. tiny and marginal farmers contribute considerably to the full price of crop output. true Assessment Survey of Farmers 2003 knowledge shows that marginal farmers account for 49 % of total output and little farmers 22 % of total output. tiny farms are characterized by low capital input and high labour and different inputs, with a better index of cropping intensity and diversification. Because the tiny farms struggle to induce access to inputs, market and credit – they have grade taking part in field to be ready to vie with different market players on equal terms.
