Abstract

This study is focused on the effect of social media applications on employee job performance. Social media is today’s world is inevitable and has been helping business to expand and market their products and services well. In the light of employee job performance as well social media definitely has a positive impact. The study was done by collecting and analyzing data with the help of a questionnaire from employees working in various different sectors. The findings show a positive correlation between social media and employee job performance. Organizations make use of social media to quickly convey messages and discuss about various details and hence save a lot of time. Social media helps to develop good relations between employees by forming informal groups and thus creates a conducive work environment.
