Abstract
There was probably never a time when more thought and care was given than it is today to work out the best methods of teaching particular subjects, the organisation and material equipment of the school. But there is so much confusion on what is the supreme purpose for the attainment of which all the rest exists? And it is useless to consider schemes of organisation and methods of instruction and methods of instructions until we have got before ourselves clear objectives.
