Abstract

Mango (Mangifera indica L) is a native of Indo-Burma region and has been cultivated for over 4000 years. India has achieved self-sufficiency in food grain production but not in fruit production. In recent years, greater attention is being paid to horticultural crops for better utilization and development of marginal, poor and wastelands, which are hardly suitable for economic cultivation of field crops. Keeping the importance of mango pulp industry and mango growers, a study was undertaken to compare the marketing behaviour of registered mango growers of a private mango pulp industry with the non-registered mango growers.
