Abstract

Arunachal Pradesh is inhabited by large number of tribes. Every one of them has a distinct culture, traditions, confidence and conviction, customs and customary law, diverse social and economic example. Nyishi pursues legends, myths, mythologies, custom and customary laws. The Nyishi tribe is the biggest tribes of Arunachal Pradesh. Genealogically the Nyishi are relative of the incredible progenitor Aabhu Thanyi. They inhabit in six areas of Arunachal Pradesh viz Papum Pare, Lower Subansiri, Upper Subansiri, Kurung Kumey, East Kameng, West Kameng, Kra-Dadi and a few pieces of the state of Assam. Nyishi are as yet keeping up, preserving and following similar traditions, customs and usages. The traditional legal system is one such foundation. Nyishi have a certain component to regulate them.
