With this new technology a lot has changed in the functioning of various domains whether it’s the management side, marketing front, news consumption patterns, News making process, data consumption of the consumers etc. Across the broad spectrum of various products and services the advent of digital media has brought up a revolution. In the past 25 years, the journalistic sphere has gone through remarkable changes and transformations, have adapting to the contemporary global trends in news‐making process. Digital or online journalism is a confirmed reality and common practice in professional and academic landscapes. The journalists in these changing scenarios are expected to be the part of the process and explore the various opportunities multimedia offers. There is also a paradigm shift as readers and viewers are now becoming a part of the news making process. While this has been hailed as democratic and down to top approach, there is a question of credibility.
