Abstract

Human resources are the most important resource for the success of any organisation. The proper management of human resources helps in maintaining the organisational structure, consistency, sincerity, commitment and improvement in productivity of employees. The study aims to critically evaluate the human resource policies and practices of Oswal group in relation to work-life balance of employees. These practices include recruitment, selection, training, development, promotions, rewards, career progression, performance appraisal, welfare facilities, grievance redressal mechanism and discipline. For the purpose of study, a sample of 581 has been taken in Oswal group from all the units. Both primary and secondary data have been used for the purpose of study. Data has been collected on a well-structured questionnaire. The results revealed that human resource policies play a significant role in maintaining of work-life balance of employees.
