Abstract

The pricing practices discussed in this paper are highly prevalent in today’s society. Humans do not have the capacity to recognise and evaluate all the available information in today’s complex environment. Hence, people use mental short cuts known as heuristics to deal with such situations. Importantly, heuristics leave people exposed to external influences, including pricing cues. The literature on pricing practices suggests that pricing cues provided by retailers can affect consumer behaviour and value perceptions. This paper will discuss various pricing practices and their impact on consumer behaviour.

Micro finance is a source of financial services for entrepreneurship and small business lacking access to banking service and related service. The Indian microfinance sector witnessed tremendous growth over the last five years, during which institutions were subject to little regulation. Some microfinance institutions were subject to prudential requirements; however no regulation addressed lending practices, pricing, or operations. The combination of minimal regulation and rapid sector growth led to an environment where customers were increasingly dissatisfied with microfinance services, culminating in the Andhra Pradesh crisis in the fall of 2010. Leading up to the Andhra Pradesh crisis, microfinance institutions were experiencing a large influx of equity and debt investment. Some institutions were doubling their size each year, aiming to reach more customers and serve more areas.

Marketing find its origin in the need to have a good communication between business organizations and customers around the market. Customers should be made aware of the products currently available in the market, and business firmsmust beable to persuade the customers of the comparative advantages of their products over those of their competitors. In a very hybrid way, marketing planning framework to aid political parties in improving their image and coordinating election campaigns, has been developed to reflect the changing nature of electoral campaigning in the developed world towards the need for more long-term planning; together with the development and implementation of marketing models in a wider sphere of social situations. With its adoption worldwide by all the parties, it has become vital to plan political marketing in a very responsible, accountable and professional manner. Research on political marketing is now established as a popular sub-discipline which has attracted a lot of thoughts and academicians to look into and extract meaningful conclusions. The purpose of this paper is to throw some light on the importance of political marketing, non-traditional media and elements involved in it. Affiliate marketing is commonly confused with referral marketing, as both forms of marketing use third parties to drive sales to the retailer. While search engines, e-mail, and website syndication capture much of the attention of online retailers, affiliate marketing carries a much lower profile. Still, affiliates continue to play a significant role in e-retailers'''' marketing tactics. It is a partnership between two sides - the advertisers, whose goal is to promote their products, and the publishers who are owners of online platforms (affiliates). The affiliate commits to promote the advertiser''''s product or service through a link or a banner ad placed on their website. With the help of existing literature and data sources, this paper attempts to highlight basics of affiliate marketing by determining what exactly is affiliate marketing and how does it works with various examples available in India, with their referral payout structure. The paper suggests that the future of affiliate marketing is to a greater extent affected by the consumer’s perception of affiliate program usefulness and control over it. Therefore in affiliate marketing, the biggest challenge is to get traffic to their website, and then getting them to click on affiliates’ links.

Organic synthesis is a special branch of chemical synthesis and is concerned with the construction of organic compounds via organic reactions. Organic molecules can often contain a higher level of complexity compared to purely inorganic compounds, so the synthesis of organic compounds has developed into one of the most important branches of organic chemistry. There are two main areas of research fields within the general area of organic synthesis: total synthesis and methodology. A multi-step synthesis of any organic compound requires the chemist to accomplish three related tasks: 1. Constructing the carbon framework or skeleton of the desired molecule. 2. Introducing, removing or transforming functional groups in a fashion that achieves the functionality of the desired compound. 3. Exercising selective stereocontrol at all stages in which centers of stereoisomerism are created or influenced.

There is so much debate these days on the role of the company. So I decided to go back to the beginning – the definition of a company. The Webster dictionary defines a company as “an association of persons for the purpose of carrying on some commercial or industrial enterprise or business.” But today no one would agree to this narrow definition as it is seen as an integral part of the society as according to one research customers too are switching brands in favor of socially responsible companies .The traditional governance model places management as solely accountable to investors. But a growing number of corporations accept that constituents other than shareholders are affected by the corporate activity, and therefore it must be answerable to them. Such other constituents are known as stakeholders which includes- employees, trade unions, customers, shareholders and investors, suppliers, competitors, local communities, government. In order to enhance the profitability, the corporations must take cares the needs of all its stakeholders.

While the extraordinary industrial and technological innovations of recent decades have led to many breakthroughs, they have also left us to confront an uncertain future. With real threats of environmental and economic collapse, terrible diseases, overpopulation and poverty, we have much to overcome. Our best hope for the future of humanity lies in the power and effectiveness of socially motivated, highly empowered individuals who fight for changes in the way we live, think and behave. This article puts forward a view of social entrepreneurship as a process that catalyzes social change and addresses important social needs in a way that is not dominated by direct financial benefits for the entrepreneurs. Social entrepreneurship is seen as differing from other forms of entrepreneurship in the relatively higher priority given to promoting social value and development verses capturing economic value.

The study reveals that the share of social sector expenditure in aggregate expenditure has a positive impact on economic growth of states measured in terms of per capita Net State Domestic Product (NSDP). However, the impact on growth is not as significant as the impact of expenditure other than social sector that includes mainly spending on economic services. Another important finding from the study reveals that social sector expenditure has a more indirect impact on economic growth via the mode of human development.

Organisation are, generally, driven by a set of predetermined goals. They employ physical, financial and human resource in order to achieve the goals. These goals have no meaning unless people understand the underlying philosophy , translate them into concrete actions plans and put their heart while realizing the targets. Management of ‘ human factor ‘ for an organization is the key issue. In 1969 Len Nadler firstly introduced the concept of Human Resource Development at American Society for Training and Development In United States Of America. The concept was popularized in India in late 70’s. In 1975 Larsen and Turbo introduced the concept of Human Resource Development. Public Interest Litigation popularly known as PIL can be broadly defined as litigation in the interest of that nebulous entity: the public in general. Prior to 1980s, only the aggrieved party could personally knock the doors of justice and seek remedy for his grievance and any other person who was not personally affected could not knock the doors of justice as a proxy for the victim or the aggrieved party. In other words, only the affected parties had the locus standi (standing required in law) to file a case and continue the litigation and the non affected persons had no locus standi to do so. And as a result, there was hardly any link between the rights guaranteed by the Constitution of Indian Union and the laws made by the legislature on the one hand and the vast majority of illiterate citizens on the other.

Joseph Schumpeter is evoked during studies of democratic theories for the remarkable relevance his expositions have borne in furthering the understanding of the concept. Though his writings on democracy were confined to four chapters in the book Capitalism, Socialism and Democracy, and he took up discussion on democracy only to make connections with the larger theme of his book, his ideas on democracy hold three crucial aspects that make it significant. First, he provides a lethal critique of the classical model of democracy (which he constantly refers to as a doctrine) before embarking on his competitive theory of democracy. This critique becomes important because it marks a big moment in the discourse on democracy, whereby long held theories are questioned and rebuffed. What becomes epical is that he strips democracy of its moral and ethical dimensions, and rejects the liberty/equality argument associated with it historically. Schumpeter also provides an alternative to studying democracy, as that of competition for leadership.

With Gandhi's advent on the Indian scene in 1915, things began to change all round. Gandhi looked at social welfare in his own unique way. His ways, indeed, were unique, so much so that even as early as 1894 i.e. when he was just 25 years old, he wanted to help his compatriots in South Africa by saving them from blatant and crushing racial discrimination. This shows Gandhi's consideration of his fellow men even at that young age. Gandhi never equated happiness with economic prosperity and physical pleasure alone. His concept of the welfare of society was totally opposed to the utilitarian concept, viz. the greatest good of the greatest number.

This paper explores the importance of human health in general and maternal health in particular. Health is one of the prime concerns of human society. Healthy people of a society are the real assets of a country and the prosperity and development of a country depends on healthy citizens. Half of the population of our society is female, and the female hood gets fulfillment when they become mothers. So, without healthy mothers a really developed society is impossible. Therefore, in 2000 UNO solemnly sets maternal health as one of the eight Millennium Development Goals to be achieved by 2015 (maternal health has been prioritized in the 5th position among the Eight goals). Technically maternal health refers to the health of women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. It encompasses the health care dimensions of family planning, preconception, prenatal, and postnatal care in order to reduce maternal morbidity and mortality. Morigaon is one of the backward districts of Assam. The different programmes of development for maternal health have been working since 2005 under National Rural Health Mission. The main objectives of this study are (a) to assess the status of maternal health under different parameters, and (b) To find out related cause of infant mortality rate of Morigaon district.

An attempt has been made to analyze the blood flow under the action an applied electric potential. Blood is considered to be characterized by the micropolar fluid. Equations for the conservation of linear momentum and angular momentum as well as Gauss’s law of charge distribution have been solved within the framework of Debye-Huckel approximation. The flow is further considered to take place in a channel whose walls are vibrating in a periodic manner. Analytical expression of micro-rotation has been used to plot the three dimension figures by varying controllable variables under practical consideration. The results presented here reveal that the microrotation of the suspended microelments in blood also plays an important role in controlling the electroosmotically actuated flow dynamics in micro-bio-fluidic devices.
