A study on derivatives is futile without knowing the attitude and perception of individual investors in the market. The derivative market segment in India use the derivatives instruments to hedge their risk and earn profit through speculation.. In the present highly uncertain business scenario, the importance of risk management is much greater than ever before. The emergence of derivatives market is an ingenious feat of financial engineering that provides an effective and less costly solution to the problem of risk that is embedded in the price unpredictability of the underlying asset. In India, the emergence and growth of derivatives market is relatively a recent phenomenon. The growth of derivatives usage over the last two decades has been rapid in both advanced economies and emerging markets. Derivatives are enormously useful instruments in the management of risk. In Kerala, the retail investors see derivative instruments as a risky investment option because many of them lack the basic knowledge regarding their purpose and modus operandi. Most of the investors withdraw their investment decision in financial derivative due to lack of knowledge and technical support. A close examination of the derivative market brings out the fact that the retail investors are ready to invest in the derivatives with a support extended by a third party. Therefore it is very important to have an insight into derivative market from the perspective of the investors in Kerala. This study will be very beneficial for the brokers, traders, financial economists, financial consultants and Authorities concerned .

Abstract

Migration is a universal phenomenon and people were moving from one place to another place for reasons of their own. The major reasons for such migrations can vary from economic reasons, parental migrations, familial reasons etc. Whenever migration happened, it is accompanied by a major change in the cultural setup of both the migrants as well as for the members of the host community also. Acculturation strategy has been pointed out as one of the main element in the field of acculturation study. The classical definition of acculturation includes the main idea of the multicultural model as it says that when people from two different cultures meet each other, it results in the change of the original culture patterns of either or both groups (Redfield, Linton, & Herskovits, 1936). According to this classical definition, acculturation and culture change can’t be integrated together, although both are interrelated but assimilation is one of its aspects, which is at times a phase of acculturation ( Berry, 1998).

The boost in the volume of digital academic repository made it difficile for the research scholars to get to the kindred academic articles subsequently driving the scrutiny of usage of Recommender Systems (RS) in academic literature domain. The techniques, content or collaborative filtering based, cannot placate the scholar’s personalized preferences relating to recentness of the date of publishing, popularity of the article etc. The following work presents an Enhanced Approach for Recommending Research Articles using the Technique of High-Utility Itemset Mining (HUIM). The approach considers both the content of research article and scholar’s personalized preference before recommending papers. For this, an HUIM algorithm, FHM, is employed to pick the articles that have higher utility from the user’s perspective. Analysis results verify that this approach contemplates research scholar’s personalized preferences and at the same point surpasses the existing approaches by requiring less time and space.

Abstract This is a brief survey of a virile provincial school of painting. A detailed discussion of the various sets and interesting problems they raise is left for future study. The present objective is to bring to the notice of the intelligentsia, the various themes, the qualities, technique and style of a least known school of medieval painting, as well as the value of the collection in the National Museum .No area in India has suffered so much vivisection and passed through so many vicissitudes as the ancient provinces of Avanti and Dasarna-better known as Malwa. The very mention of its name creates a nostalgic desire and makes one imagine the imperishable memories of Ujjan, Vidisa (modern Bhilsa), Dasapura (modern Mandasor); of Malavika, the forelorn yaksha vanita and abhisarikas quickly crossing the deserted streets to arrive at the place of trysts.
