Abstract

Teachers are the central point for any type of educational system. Teachers are the people who give the shape to the future of the students. An effective teacher is therefore, of prime importance for realizing desirable educational goals. The success of the schools depends upon the ability of the head who is responsible for academic as well as administrative functioning of the school. Therefore effective administrative behavior of the principal may create a sense of satisfaction, contentment and help in maintaining teacher effectiveness among teachers, which is essential for the survival strength, efficiency, and success of the institution. The main objectives of the topic are to find out the significant mean differences of different dimensions of teacher effectiveness among teachers of secondary schools belongs to good, average and poor principal’s administrative behavior. A sample size of 50 Principals and 250 teachers of secondary schools were selected and taken up for the study. Purposive and Simple random sampling method has been used by the researcher for selecting the samples. Administrative Behaviour Scale for Principals developed by Dr. (Mrs.) Haseen Taj and Teacher Effectiveness Scale for Teachers scale is developed by Pramod Kmar and D. N. Mutha was used for the study. It has been found that, there is a significant mean difference of different dimensions of teacher effectiveness among teachers of secondary schools belongs to good, average and poor principal’s administrative behavior.
