Abstract

2.4-D is herbicides widely used in the agriculture. It moves in ecosystem via food chain. It is heterogeneous categories of chemical compound. They can reach in aquatic ecosystem via several ways from the area were they are applied However, bacteria represent important members of the fresh water flora. Aquatic bacteria such as Escherichia coli are extremely important to the aquatic environment .since; they participate in the organic matter decomposition, nutrient cycle and energy flow. In this study e.coli in-vitro was carried out. The 2,4-D herbicides concentration used in each well was 0.23mg/l . The number of CFU in the final period of incubation(600 minutes) was much lower. Anti herbicides sensitivity test showed zone of inhibition of 9.02mm around 2,4-D herbicides
