STE PREJUDICE AND RELIGIOSITY IN CONTEXT OF PATTERNS OF ADJUSTMENT

Abstract

The present study was conducted on 160 female adolesecnt students selected from the colleges of Chapra (Bihar) town using incidental-cum-purposive sampling technique. The objectives were to investigate into the influence of (i) caste prejudice and (ii) religiosity on the patterns of adjustment. Further it was intended to examine the relationship of caste prejudice and religiosity with patterns of adjustment. The study was to achieve the objectives. Adjustment Inventory (Hindi) by Mohsin and Shamshad, Caste Prejudice Scale by Singh and Prasad, Bhushan's Religiosity Scale were used to measure patterns of adjustment, caste prejudice and religiosity respectively.
