Abstract

The purpose of the present paper is to study the significance of emotional intelligence in job satisfaction of secondary school teachers. For this study, 260 secondary school teachers were selected from various private and government schools of district Saharanpur. Data were gathered with the help of questionnaires including Job Satisfaction Scale and Emotional Intelligence Scale. The obtained data were then analyzed with statistical techniques like Mean, Standard Deviation, and t-test. Finding of the study indicates that job anxiety is significantly correlated in with job satisfaction among teachers. Furthermore a significant difference has been found between rural and urban teachers, as well as male and female teachers with respect to job anxiety and job satisfaction.
