A STUDY THE EFFECT OF VALUE BASED EDUCATION ON SOCIAL MATURITY BETWEEN MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT

Abstract

Education based on values is development of an individual in three folds irrespective of their gender and age. It endeavors in developing three aspects which are character, physique and mentality as well. The aim of the study is to explore the effect of value based education on social maturity among middle and high school student. One hundred twenty middle and high school student in Raipur, Chhattisgarh were selected by using random sampling technique as sample. The sample responded to the Spiritual Values Scale developed by Fauzia Nazam, Akbar Husain and S.M. Khan and V.P. Sharma, Prabha Shukla and Kiran Shukla Social competence Scale (SCS) Hindi English. The sample of 60 Middle school students (30 male and 30 female) and the 60 High school students (30 male and 30 female) were selected belonging to Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The data were analyzed with T-tests. Results: Value Based Education was playing significant role on social maturity of middle and high school student and results also indicated that value based education is positively associated with social maturity.
