Abstract

Water pollution is a serious threat to life. A river is said to be polluted when the water altered in its composition directly or indirectly as a results of man’s activities. The discharge of solid and liquid wastes grouped under sewage, industrial and agricultural wastes causes’ water pollution. The effluent contains inorganic and organic chemicals, which are toxic to plants, animals and human beings. The toxins are absorbed into the tissues from the polluted water and produces various types of metabolic disorders in the organism. The prawn were collected from river & ponds around Gajroula, district Amroha, U.P., India.
