Abstract

Financial inclusion is the process of delivering financial products and services to the people from disadvantaged, underprivileged, low income section of the society at an affordable cost with the objective to connecting every individual of the society with the formal financial system of India. Financial literacy is considered an important factor that promotes financial inclusion. In the present paper, the effort has been made to study the banking habits among rural households and factors affecting financial inclusion in the area under study. The main source of the study is the primary data and Primary data has been collected through a structured questionnaire. The collected data have been analyzed using frequency, percentage, and factor analysis. Also, the analysis is supported by its corresponding interpretation for better understanding. It is found from the present study that 98.0 percent of respondents had a bank account, whereas only 2.0 percent of respondents did not have a bank account and the majority of them were female.
