The purpose of this paper is to assess the level of financial literacy among the literate population of India. The paper would use secondary data from different sources like newspapers, websites, research papers, etc. The study would result in the level of financial literacy among the employees, the determinants of their financial literacy, the sources of financial matters, the challenges they meet and their attitude and behaviour in obtaining their financial goals. The study would also determine the prevailing gap in the level of financial literacy and would suggest possible measures to be undertaken to overcome it.
