Abstract

This paper will draw an insight on redressing the grievances and exploitation of the subalterns through political participation and their role in the decision making. The central aim is of mainstreaming the subalterns through the process of integration, assimilation and inclusive development. Subalterns require special measures to ensure that they benefit from the same rights as the rest of the population. In other words, the aim of a democratic country is to ensure that persons belonging to subaltern community should enjoy Effective Equality, Equal Political Representation and Participation.
