Abstract

The ancient Ayurvedic sages carefully researched the anatomical and physiological characteristics of women in various ages. As river's flow purifies itself from all the impurities, similarly menstrual flow purifies women from wide range of ailments. In addition to systemic disorders, there are 20 different Yoni Rogas (gynaecological diseases) have been mentioned in Ayurved .
