Abstract

As per section 135 of Companies Act 2013 India became the first country in the world to make CSR activity mandatory for large and profitable companies incorporated into law. India being a developing country has reached a stage where question of social responsibility is inevitable and cannot be taken up lightly. Due to information spread and social awareness among the masses, companies in India know social responsibility is the need of the hour and thus adopting it with great enthusiasm by incorporating the CSR into their marketing strategies and creating a competitive trend in this field.
