Abstract

In a representative democracy, political parties come to power through constitutional means. This entails contesting and winning elections to wrest power and govern people. They rule with people’s mandate by clearly stating their policies and agenda. If one party fails to fulfill people’s aspirations, they would replace it with another party. When all the political parties and their leaders fail in catering to their needs, people would look for a better alternative.
