Abstract

The status of women in modern India is a sort of a paradox. On one hand she is at the peak of ladder of success, on the other hand she is mutely suffering from role conflicts. As compared with past, women in modern times have achieved a lot of but in reality they still have a long way to go. The modern Indian women have honed their skills and jumped into a battlefield of life fighting against social restrictions, emotional ties, and religious boundaries and cultural clutches.
