Numerous studies on allelopathy in terrestrial environment have shown that plant litter intact or decomposed, release allelochemical influencing growth of several species. Recently several terrestrial species are reported to have both positive as well as negative effects. Allelopathy play an important role in the agricultural particularly in weed control. Allelopathy may also provide a strategy for vegetation management in aquatic ecosystem. That idea lead to me examine of Allelopathic effect of Azadirachta on Hydrilla grown.
