Abstract

The Mahabodhi Temple is a Buddhist temple located in Bodh Gaya, in the Indian state of Bihar. It is one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Buddhists and is believed to be the place where Gautama Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. The Mahabodhi Temple has played an important role in the spread of Buddhism throughout the world.
