Abstract

The Reserve Bank of India is India’s central bank and basically the Centralised Monetary Agency of India. The Reserve Bank of India works as a bank of government as well as a banker to Commercial banks. The preamble of the Reserve Bank of India describes its main functions as issuing of currency and keeping a reserve to secure monetary stability.
