PATCH ANTENNAS USING AIR GAP

Abstract

In this paper an accurate analysis for the computation of input impedance of microstrip patch antenna using air gap configuration has been carried out. Matching of an input impedance of antenna with its feed network is one of the important aspects. Thus, results on input impedance and other important antenna parameters have been obtained and presented for three antenna geometries namely rectangular, circular and hexagonal at 3 GHz and 10 GHz of microwave frequency range.
