PREVALENCE OF OBESITY AND OVERWEIGHT AMONG ADULT (20-40 YEARS) FEMALES OF REWA CITY

Abstract

The present study an attempt has been made to report the prevalence of on the basis of various anthropometric variables among young adult females of Rewa (M.P.) , ranging in age from 20-40 years. For the assessment of obesity height, weight were taken on 30 young adult females. The prevalence of obesity was calculated according to Body Mass Index (BMI).The observations revealed that the prevalence of undernutrition, overweight and obesity according to BMI in young adult females was 6.66%, 16.66% and 20%, respectively.
