Abstract

Watershed Development Programme have stressed upon the development of the agriculture sector through the conservation of water thereby seeking the increase in production and productivity of the different crops. The research work related to this programme have shown that watershed development programme have proved effective in use and management of land and water resources. In the present study also, the effectiveness of the programme has been examined with special reference to change in production. In order to fulfill this objective, primary data have been collected from two villages of two blocks of Hisar district of Haryana state during 2012-13.
