According to Indian tradition, Vedas are divine knowledge. This knowledge was acquired by our ancient sages in a state of concentrated contemplation. The mantras which were found by the sages called mantradraṣṭā, they can neither be poetry of a common man, nor a simple story, nor a novel or an entertainment related literature.
