Abstract

The mankind, since the past few centuries, has been recklessly exploiting natural resources and has been largely guided by the belief that the environment exists for unrestricted use by humans. This paper presents evidences from Hindu Scriptures that this religion advocates and motivates the mankind to respect nature.
