Women empowerment is a key to the realization of the vision of Viksit Bharat by the year 2047, as envisaged by the government. In spite of the historical and continuing efforts of reformists and the government, Indian women are subjected to substantial barriers standing in the way of their complete participation in the social, economic, and political spheres.
