Abstract

Linum usitatissimum l. generally known as flax or linseed, obtained from dried ripe seeds belonging to family- linaceae, and has long been grown in many countries owing to its uses in the pharmaceutical industries. the plant is cultivated worldwide for the production of fibers, and for seeds, the most important suppliers are Argentina, Belgium, Morocco, Hungry, USA and India.
