Taking charge of the biggest democracy of the world, the three-time chief minister of the state of Gujarat, sworn in as India’s prime minister on 26 May 2014. The new government under his leadership has less scope to contrive as it has to struggle with the appalling policy decisions of the previous government, which it might have not agreed with but would have to live with. The biggest challenge facing the new government is to revive an economy with growth that it’s lowest in the last decade, which is under 5 percent a year resulting from the indecisiveness of the previous government. The consumer price index being above 8 percent and Industrial production and Manufacturing have been growing at a snail''s pace.
