Abstract

This paper attempts to analyze the concept of FDI in Indian Retail Market. The findings of the study point out that FDI in Retail would enable the Indian economy to integrate with global economy. India being the founder member of world trade organization (WTO) and general agreement on trade in services, which includes wholesale and retailing services, had to open up its retail market to foreign investment.
