Abstract

The two dimensional constitutive equations and equations of motion are obtained for porous piezoelectric materials. These equations are further modified by approximations. The two as well as three dimensional shear resonance frequencies in thickness mode are obtained analytically for porous piezoelectric crystal plates coated or uncoated with a thin electrode film.
