Medicinal plants have served as an indispensable source of therapeutic agents since ancient times and continue to play a significant role in modern drug discovery. The therapeutic efficacy of these plants is primarily attributed to the presence of bioactive secondary metabolites, including flavonoids, alkaloids, terpenoids, and phenolic compounds.
