PENSION REFORMS AND ITS IMPACT ON INDIAN SECURITIES MARKET

Abstract

In the process of initiation of pension reforms in the country promises were made that the reforms in the pension system would ensure local security market development, economic growth, development in infrastructure, reduction in the government financial burden, reduction in dependency on foreign volatile capital inflow besides old age income security to the retired. This paper would make a small attempt to check one aspect of the promises that whether the pension reforms in the country have brought a considerable impact on growth and development of country’s security market.
