Abstract

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) plays an important role in the overall growth of any host economy. Indian economy witnessed a tremendous phase of FDI inflow in the last two decades. In the modern era of globalisation both the developed and developing economies are encouraging various measures and formulating policies to attract MNCs and TNCs to come up with their investment. Governments are trying to establish investment friendly environment in their countries. These trends of the modern governments are their move to the market orientation strategy.
