DESTINATION MARKETING: THE COMPETITIVE DESTINATION OF THE FUTURE

Abstract

Destination marketing is the process of communicating with potential visitors to influence their destination preference, intention to travel and ultimately their final destination and product choices. Destination marketing is a major part of the ‘Implementation’ process; it is the articulation and communication of the values, vision and competitive attributes of the destination Destination marketing is becoming extremely competitive worldwide. This paper describes the objectives and strategic marketing concepts and models for the management try to synthesize the destinations. It provides an overview of the variety of techniques commonly used and shows examples from different places.
