DIFFERENCE IN PSYCHOLOGICAL VARIABLES AMONG VARIOUS CATEGORIES OF SCHOOL EMPLOYEES: A COMPARATIVE STUDY

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to assess and compare selected psychological variables among different categories of school employees. Thirty school heads, general line teachers and physical teachers (n=30) were selected randomly as subjects (10 from each category) from different schools of district Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir. The data was collected by usingDASS, the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales. The data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics and ANOVA. The results of the present study revealed that there was significant difference in the depression and stress between the different categories of school employees but there was no significant difference in anxiety between the different categories of school employees. The level of significance was set at 0.05.
