Abstract
Agriculture is the main activity of people residing in dryland regions of western Rajasthan as there are no other substantial employment activities to manage their livelihood. This part of Rajasthan state has less infrastructure facilities and basic amenities due to large area and low population density in most part. Situation within districts is quite varied as canal irrigation has attracted many people to migrate in those areas.
