Abstract

Borders studies is a booming academic industry of this time, it is extremely rich in significations which is profoundly changing its meaning. Borders are generally understood as the territorial limits of the state within which the whole range of socio-cultural, institutional and spatial framework is positioned. It is well known that borders have got their identity at the cost of disappearance of frontiers. Traditionally, it was perceived as the tangible limits of the political space but by the time and discourse it has evolved beyond this definition. Borders being geographical in nature, have also been a discourse of anthropological study as it plays a central role in drawing the phenomena of inclusion and exclusion distinctly. Firstly, borders should be understood in its physical form that delineates two countries, states,
