Abstract

Tax is an important source of revenue and is thus, inevitable for raising financial resources for any government to achieve development goals, poverty reduction, and creation of infrastructure to sustain the long term growth plan. A government especially of a developing economy constantly strives for achieving higher revenue to promote national economic development and increase country’s competitiveness on a global platform by maintaining an equitable system of tax.
