ROLE OF E-BANKING IN FINANCIAL INCLUSION OF THE SOCIETY

Abstract

The availability of banking facilities and strong bank branch network are the major facilitator’s of developmental and expansionary activities. A strong and steady financial system is the pillar of economic growth, development and progress of an economy, Over the few decades the Banking industry has grown immensely but the branch penetration in rural areas has not materialize perfectly with the rising demand therefore the need for accessible financial services were felt The study will analyze the significance of work been done so far in adapting banking and supervision regulations, continuous vigilance over service providers and revisions is essential as the scope of e-banking increasing and flourishing . In the present technological application world where online banking, pay tm, m paisa and many more are doing considerably well in providing banking services at the doorstep and various small big businesses operating without bricks and mortar. So here the research paper will highlight the significant services facilitated by the telecom and other internet service providers which are considerably walking with regular banks in facilitating hassle free banking services to this techno-gripped world, and also suggest areas where further innovations can be carried out for better reach and accessibility by all specially by deprived and the bottom of the pyramid.
