ICT AND M-COMMERCE: DISCERNIBLE CHANGES IN SOCIETY

Abstract

Information and Communication Technology and M-Commerce are such technological tools that have proved to be a boon to the people living at distant places. Use of ICT has led to availability of information and knowledge about almost every relevant field as also its applicability. ICT and M-Commerce has brought revolutionary changes in society. These changes range from sharing of information, sending documents or data through large distances within seconds, Tele-conferencing, Tele-medicine, e-mails, outsourcing at great speed, buying and shopping online, online availability of products information, online discussion forums, have enormous impact on society. Society has transformed from a slow-paced, gruesome management of products and services, lethargic physical account-keeping to high-speed, effortless and convenient management and electronic account-keeping which is very easy to access as well. This research paper is an attempt to find relevance and impact of ICT and M-Commerce on society through discernible changes.
