Abstract
With the creative and technical aspects of the internet many companies sells their goods through online marketing. online marketing is selling goods over the internet. India’s e-commerce industry are still in its developing stage. Its online retail market is a much more dependent upon discount-driven festive season sales. According to the study conducted by RedSeer Management Consulting during the last year ‘The great Indian online festive sale’, the Indian e-retailing industry did a business of approximately USD 720 million while the average monthly revenue is nearly USD 1 billion. There is almost 300% Increase in the daily average sales in e-retailing industry during festive sale period. This paper is an attempt to analyze the potential of Indian on-line retail industry with respect to consumer buying behavior during Indian festive season. The study is based upon primary as well as secondary data. A questionnaire has been analyzed to study the consumer buying behavior during festive season on Indian online retail industry along with a SWOT analysis of festive market.
