Abstract

सुप्रीम कोर्ट के तलाक संबंधित मुस्लिम महिलाओं से जुड़े मील पत्थर फैसले की जहाँ हर तरफ तारीफ़ हो रही है वही देश में महिला सशक्तिकरण से जुड़े सिक्के के दुसरे पहलु को नज़र अंदाज करना काफी मुश्किल होगा की लैंगिक समानता की अंतरराष्ट्रीय रैंकिंग में भारत अभी बहुत पीछे और नीचे है विश्व आर्थिक मंच की ताजा रिपोर्ट के अनुसार 144 देशों के मूल्यांकन में भारत का स्थान 87वां हैण् यहां तक कि भारत अपने पड़ोसी बांग्लादेश से भी इस मायने में पीछे है जो 72वें नंबर पर है
