Abstract

Transition period for every student is very important. Students after high school are striving to search a vocation that fits with their identity, considering not only their interests, but also their potential and values. More care is needed for youth with disabilities, who face more problems in negotiating the transition process than their peers without disabilities. Individuals with learning disabilities are already at a certain disadvantage in their career and workforce development, it is important to note factors that can either help or hinder this process. Their learning disability leads them to career choice anxiety and makes their career decision making even more difficult. In the present paper, the researchers collected the data from 42 students with learning disabilities studying from IX to XII graders. The data was collected by using Singh’s career decision making inventory and Speilberger’s career choice anxiety scale. Findings of the study reveal that there exists positive and significant relationship between indecision and career choice anxiety which leads to undecidedness and tentativeness in career decision making.
