Abstract

Police service is a part of public service in India. But the nature of the services somewhat different forms other categories of public services, as it is entrusted with the tasks of maintaining law and order. This task makes the policeman and agent of enforcing law & order who also has to play a role in protecting and defending the rights and liberty of citizens.
