LINKING POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL TO WORK WELL-BEING AND TURNOVER INTENTIONS

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the relationships among Positive Psychological Capital, work well-being and turnover intentions. The sample of the study consisted of 50 Retired Army Officers working in corporate at managerial positions and Positive Psychological Capital was measured by questionnaire developed by Fred Luthans, Bruce J. Avolio, & James B. Avey (2007), Workplace Wellbeing Questionnaire developed at Black Dog Institute (2003) was used for measuring work well-being and Employee turnover intention was assessed by three-item scale based on Mobley, Horner& Hollingsworth theory (1978). Our results showed that, psychological capital (PsyCap) was composed of four dimensions, namely self-efficacy, hope, optimism and resiliency is positively related to work well being and negatively related to turnover intention.
